In this series of posts we will have a look at main concepts of Global USSD, its functionality and what it can give both to mobile operators and service providers.
As you can see on the picture, GUSSD serve as a go-between point for service providers and carriers. They do no longer have to deal with each other. Instead, Service Delivery Platform – the core of Global USSD, provides service creation and its delivery to different MNOs. On their side, MNOs receive traffic monitoring and billing system.
Let’s have a look at the right side of the image. You can see a huge variety of different services which Global USSD is capable of creating and many of them are already have been successfully running for some time. Starting with mobile banking and ending with anti-corruption campaigns.
Take government services for example. Last year Anti-Corruption campaign was executed in Tanzania and had a huge success there. Warning USSD network-initiated messages were delivered across the country to all local carriers. In Novosibirsk, Russia the Federal Bailiff Service lunched new informational service. It made possible to find out about loan and public services debts in a matter of seconds by using an USSD menu. These are just a few of many different services which can be useful for governments and society as a whole.
Mobile money in developing countries, services for education and health. Add to that all types of commercial services. All this can be executed using Global USSD platform and then delivered wherever you want. You develop your service once and it works on any carrier in the world. Both service providers and mobile network operators receive clear statistics and have the minimum issues to deal with. Global USSD is now handles everything and saves money and time.
More to come. Stay tuned.
